What it changes
This is not a machine for cutting one blank. It is a machine for cutting a batch.
A standard block of 2.50 × 1.20 × 1.20 m costs about €400 and gives twenty boards: €20 of foam per preshape, cut to the exact shape, the day you need it. Bought ready made, the same preshape costs €60 and has to be waited for.
The saving is not on the machining but on the material and on the supply lead time. That is a little over six blocks to pay off the machine. It is the smallest investment in the range, and the only one that goes after the material cost. And if you prefer to spread the cost, staged payment is possible for workshops based in France.
Which workshop it is for
It is made for you if…
You buy your blanks preformed
You pay for a shape you are going to recut anyway. You may as well cut it yourself, to the exact shape, the day you need it.
You buy by the block
A 3 × 1.5 × 1.5 m block gives a whole series of blanks. You buy foam by volume, no longer pieces one at a time.
You have a ShapeXpert
Preforming with the wire before going to the cutter: less material to remove, less tool wear, no dust on the roughing out.

Frequently asked questions
What shapers ask us
What precision with hot wire?
± 0.1 mm, the same as on our shaping CNCs. The wire makes no compromise on consistency: it holds it over the whole cutting length.
What size of block?
Up to 3,000 × 1,500 × 1,500 mm — larger than the standard block on the market (2,500 × 1,200 × 1,200 mm), out of which about twenty boards are cut. And the machine is adapted if your blocks are different.
Can it cut windsurf and SUP blanks?
Yes: 3 metres of cutting length covers most formats, windsurf and SUP included.
Do you need the ShapeXpert as well?
No. But together they make up the full chain: the wire roughs out, the cutter finishes. It is the most cost-effective workshop setup for large formats.
How much does a block cost?
About €400 for a standard block of 2.50 × 1.20 × 1.20 m, out of which about twenty boards are cut. That is €20 of foam per preshape.
And maintenance?
Minimal, and the machine has a 2 year warranty like the rest of the range. The Kanthal wire is a consumable that is replaced in a few minutes.
